Idolism- the concept of Sycophancy
I have always faced this dilemma. Be it in interviews.. be it in regular conversations.... Who is ur Idol??? what is ur favorite __ ? esentially I DONT HAVE ANY.... cant that be my answer? does that mean I have less interest in life?? does that mean I am less observant?? does that mean I am not cool?? ......NO...
that does mean that ...
I am ready to take best of all the worlds... that does mean that I am not a deeply opionionated.. that definitely means that I am not into sycophancy... that does actually mean that I recognize the fact that I have less information at a given point of time to form an opinion to affiliate completely myself to a group. That also means that I DO NOT judge people based on their affliations and favorites... and also it means that i dont require a material means to connect to people...or rather search for a material common thread to build a relation.. It also means that I regard individual as one independent entity as a whole...not as a part of something...
That does mean that a child is equally a teacher to me as an old man....
It also means that i am open to choices and can enjoy every bit of every choice...So next time when you are making statements about you favorites ...remember onething that you have the right to say that YOU BELONG TO NONE ..... YOU BELONG TO EVERYONE....

That's the same belief which I carry. Why do you need to anchor your actions/ thoughts to something/ somebody. The dominance of idol ism I think this is the phase when we start losing on our originality and creativity. We create nothing but shadows of ourselves.
